My favorite getaway

Chateau de Noirieux was one of my favorite places to stay in the french countryside....a few charming rooms, scrumptious dining and a stunning view of the Loire Valley.  Where's your favorite getaway?  I'd love to hear about it!  Maybe we can all discover somewhere new to visit in 2009!

Hi Janet!

Hmmmm, mine would have to be, anywhere that the sun is strong right now and a guy is serving me a drink with an umbrella :) not as romantic as the French country side, but Im wishing for warmth and the Beach :)!

Hugs, Cynthia

What a pretty place to get away. I love to get away to Fredricksburg, or San Antonio, TX, It is even better when I get to do both.

I just went into the kitchen and looked at the back of those plates for you , they say absolutely nothing on them, argh, sorry!

The only place I can think of that I got them is Home Goods. I have actually seen them in other colors on some other blogs, I think I saw a set on Tinas ( Cherry Hill Cottage ) a while back, so maybe she might have another source etc. I got mine about 10 years ago , so I don't remember for sure.

This might help a bit, but the online website "Feather your Nest" has something similar and so does Cath Kidson so you might want to check those too :)

Hope that helps! Cynthia

What a beautiful place to get away to!! If I can't be in a little B&B on one of the Greek Isles, then my fav place to get-away is...home! Really! :)

Now this is a dreamy place...wish I could go to Paris or England. I'm afraid to fly though. My daughter wants to live in England. I found your blog from your sis, Michelle's. It's a lovely seaside blog you have. Do you live by the sea? Southern Ca.? I'm in NorCa. We live about 2.5 hrs. from the beach but we visit often. My favorite place to be is the Northern Pacific Coast in our wee vintage cottage camper.
